Pierce County's Biggest Winner

What is it?
The Biggest Winner is a weight-loss competition modeled after The Biggest Loser TV show. Over a 14 week period, two teams of five contestants work with a MultiCare physician and registered dietitian and a YMCA trainer to learn how to sensibly take off pounds. All community members can follow the progress of the contestants and get exercise and nutrition tips on the Pierce County Gets Fit website at www.piercecountygetsfit.org.

The whole community.

Why do they do it?
The program is part of the Pierce County Gets Fit Initiative, a collaborative effort of MultiCare Health System, the YMCA of Tacoma-Pierce County, and the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, designed to help community members adopt healthier lifestyles.
