Youth Programming, Camps, and Clinics

What is it?
South Lake Hospital and its National Training Center (NTC) have developed ongoing programs that include a competitive swim team, track and field training club, and baseball training program. The NTC is a 37,000-square-foot wellness and athletic facility with a full fitness center, outdoor aquatic complex, track and field complex, multipurpose fields, and cross-country course. The facility is a wellness center for the community, as well as a warm-weather training site for college athletics and national and international elite athletes.

In addition, the NTC has developed youth camps during the summer to keep kids active outside of the school year. The NTC Kids Sports & Activities Camps feature a variety of sports including soccer, track and field, and swimming. Since its inception in 2004, over 500 children in the community have attended the camp. The NTC also has more intense youth camps for track and field and soccer.

Who is it for?
South Lake Hospital and the NTC strive to make sure every child in the community has the opportunity to participate in its programs and offers scholarships based on need for all ongoing youth programming and camps.

Why do they do it?
To emphasize a healthy lifestyle through sports and activity.
