M-POWER is a community ministry consisting of area churches, hospitals, community organizations and other groups that seek to develop and achieve healthy communities for individuals and families, to share resources and information, and to encourage mental and physical health, spiritual growth, educational advancement, community involvement, economic development and social interaction.

A central service of M-POWER is the M-POWER Health Clinic, jointly sponsored by the Birmingham Baptist Association, Dawson Memorial Baptist Church and Trinity Medical Center.  The clinic provides care for those who may be working but without insurance or who are transitioning off welfare and don't have health insurance coverage, and to promote health and wellness through whole-person care.

Children, age one or older, and adults are treated at the M-POWER Health Clinic. Among the services and treatments offered are:

  • Regular checkups
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Blood sugar checks
  • Treatment of minor injuries

  • Treatment of minor illnesses - cough, cold, flu, sore throats
